My project is about my version of heaven. The longest aspect of this project was brainstorming a topic to create from. I had a made a list of topics which were personal to me, but I felt that I had already done movies and music. The idea finally came to me when I was longing up pictures of gorgeous scenery for a project I was doing. At that moment, I had thought, "Wow, what is heaven looked like this? If it truly exists, how infinity beautiful must it be?" Once I came up with my topic, I created a sketch that portrayed a beach house outlooking a city. For some reason, I wanted to create a personalized project and felt that using Heaven as my subject really conveyed this. I started looking up images of beautiful scenery because that’s what Heaven is described as in the Bible; a beautiful place and is full of light and love. Finally, I settled on an image of a window outlooking a city. I love cities, I’m a born New Yorker, so I wanted to show how much I love my city. However, my second idea was to draw the same window, but outlooking a beach or countryside.
Nevertheless, I ended up choosing a more urban esque scenery, because I feel more at home with it. Heaven doesn't need to be some beach front, it can be a beautiful city full of stunning apartments. Either way, this project is a personal one, thus the primary idea that I am communicating to my audience is how I envision Heaven. Everyone has different beliefs, and how they view these beliefs.
